How to Subscribe to a Podcast

There are many programs you can use to subscribe to a podcast. Without recommending any particular program, we would like to provide you instructions on how you can subscribe using two programs, iTunes and iPodder.

iTunes

• Download the latest version of iTunes (you may need the latest version to be able to access podcasts)
• Subscribe via iTunes
• Open iTunes
• Select Podcasts in the Source window
• Select Subscribe to Podcast... from the Advanced menu
• In the URL type (or paste) the link to the Podcast
• LINK: itpc://www.ats.ucla.edu/videos/idre_lectures.xml
• Click OK

iPodder

• Download the latest version of iPodder
• Subscribe via iPodder
• Open iPodder
• From the pulldown menu click Tools then Add a Feed.
• In the URL type (or paste) in the link to the Podcast
• LINK: http://www.ats.ucla.edu/videos/idre_lectures.xml
• Click Save
