Leaders of the National Science Foundation (NSF) and Semiconductor Research Corporation (SRC), the world's leading university-research consortium for semiconductors and related technologies, announced a major joint initiative for multi-core chip design and architecture.

A team of Princeton University computer scientists working in collaboration with archaeologists in Greece has developed a new technology that has the potential to change the way people conduct archaeological research.

Funding and Resource Opportunities

Some of science’s most powerful statements are not made in words. From the diagrams of DaVinci to Rosalind Franklin’s x-rays, visualization of research has a long and literally illustrious history. The National Science Foundation (NSF) and the journal Science created the International Science and Engineering Visualization Challenge to encourage communicating through visualization.

IDRE Call for Proposals, due October 22: The Institute for Digital Research and Education is soliciting internal proposals for focused research projects in the area of high-performance computing. The purpose of this annual solicitation is to help faculty and research groups identify and solve their “challenges” in high-performance computing.
