Abstract

This IDRE Roundtable will examine the important issue of how Graphic Processing Units (GPUs) might impact scientific computing during the next few years. Many of us have seen news accounts and/or heard rumors regarding the unprecedented Flops that have been achieved using GPUs. Scott Friedman from IDRE/ATS will update us on the work he has been doing in this area, as well as lead a general discussion to hopefully separate fact from fiction.
